The Cotswolds Attractions Group is an association of 25 of the finest visitor attractions in the glorious Cotswolds, working together to promote tourism to the region.
The principal aim of the group is to improve your enjoyment of the attractions in the area and to share information between members. The group is supported by local councils and tourism associations who are Associate Members.
To make your planning easier, the Cotswolds Attractions Group has designed a series of itineraries giving ideas for neighbouring attractions that can easily be visited together in one day, with information on timings, coach parking, mileage and routes.
For Groups’ Eyes Only
For 2010,
the Cotswold Attractions Group has launched a new initiative to help you offer a unique experience to your customers with a range of tours, talks and discounts exclusive to groups.
Experience a unique ‘Behind the Scenes’ tour of historic Berkeley Castle with owner Charles Berkeley and then of The Edward Jenner Museum taking advantage of a joint ticket for the two attractions. Learn more about Kiftsgate Court Gardens from third generation owner Anne Chambers or take an historic garden tour of the magnificent Sudeley Castle and its award-winning gardens. ‘Naked Gardeners’ Ian & Barbara Pollard offer exclusive tours of the gardens and house at Abbey House Gardens or why not book an ‘Out of Hours’ visit to Painswick Rococo Garden or the haunting Woodchester Mansion?
Many of the attractions offer free entry to coach drivers and some, such as The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway who are celebrating the 175th anniversary of the Great Western Railway in 2010, offer additional discounts to coach and tour operators.
There is something to suit all tastes from glorious gardens and historic houses to fascinating museums and bird parks. Combine these with charming towns and villages such as Tetbury, Painswick or Chipping Campden and you have the perfect excuse for a restorative cream tea!
"With the promise of a fabulous summer and the increasing trend towards ‘staycations’ in the UK, there has never been a better time to sample the delights of the Cotswolds."
